Bribery Act 2010

Every employee and individual acting on behalf of McLaren Insolvency Practitioners Ltd is responsible for maintaining our high standards and reputation. Each employee will conduct company business in an honest, trustworthy and professional manner. There is a zero-tolerance to bribery and corruption at McLaren Insolvency Practitioners Ltd.

In full adherence to the provisions of the bribery Act 2010 and the Code, there is a full commitment to acting fairly and with integrity in all business engagements and client relationships.

In accordance with the fundamental principles laid down in the Code and SIP 1, McLaren Insolvency Practitioners Ltd expects employees and individuals acting on its behalf to observe the highest standards of integrity, objectivity, professional competence and due care and confidentiality.

In order to achieve this, McLaren Insolvency Practitioners Ltd expressly prohibits any employee or individual acting on its behalf from:

• Bribing another person. A bribe can include the offering, promising or giving of any financial or other benefit;

• Accepting a bribe. This includes requesting, agreeing to receive or accepting any financial or other benefit;

• Bribing a foreign public official; and

• Condoning the offering or acceptance of a bribe.

McLaren Insolvency Practitioners Limited will:

• Avoid undertaking any business with parties who do not accept the values of McLaren Insolvency Practitioners Ltd and who may therefore harm its reputation;

• Ensure there are processes in place for continuous awareness and training for employees in an ever-changing landscape to ensure they understand the direct or indirect risks of bribery;

• Have robust procedures in place and maintain records to minimise the risk of direct of indirect bribery;

• Promote general awareness of McLaren Insolvency Practitioners Ltd’s Anti-Bribery policy with employees and individuals acting on its behalf and with which it has commercial dealings and keep this policy under regular review and update as required;

• Appoint an Anti-Bribery Officer; and

• Investigate all instances of alleged bribery that come to the attention of the Anti-Bribery Officer, assisting all official investigations with full transparency and carry out disciplinary action against any employee or associated individual as required.

Complaints

At McLaren Insolvency Practitioners Ltd we strive to deliver a professional and efficient service. It is recognised that the nature of insolvency proceedings may give rise to disputes from time to time. If you have any concerns, comments or complaints regarding the administration or progress of a particular case, in the first instance this should be addressed to the IP acting as the office holder.

If you consider that the IP has not dealt with your concern, comment of complaint in an appropriate and satisfactory manner, you should then contact McLaren Insolvency Practitioners Ltd’s Complaints Officer in writing outlining the position to Fraser MacGregor, 250 West George Steet, Glasgow, G2 4QY. This will formally commence a complaints procedure, which will be fully reviewed by the Complaints Officer who is the owner of the company and not connected with any insolvency appointments.

Most disputes can be resolved amicably and satisfactorily by the above process. However, in the event that you are unsatisfied with the outcome of McLaren Insolvency Practitioners Ltd’s internal complaints procedure, or your complaint remains unresolved, you may complain to ICAS.
